Before hitting the track, all drivers must complete licence checks to ensure they’re up to date and ready for a safe driving experience at CCIA.
Please find a step-by-step guide below on the licence-checking procedure, to ensure you will be ready to drive at CCIA without any delays:
Visitor registers for CCIA
Approx 3 weeks prior to live event date, visitor will be sent an email that gives them access to the driver booking portal
To access the portal, the visitor will first be shown the CCIA indemnity terms and conditions and must agree to these terms before being able to pre-book test drives
Drivers can then pre-book their chosen test drives (maximum of 5) with the manufacturer partners.
All visitors required to bring their licence summary with them when attending CCIA – they can either print off at home, or print off when they arrive on site in registration (they may also opt to download and save to their mobile – manufacturer partners to confirm if they can accept seeing the licence summary on a mobile device)
Licence checking partner will be on site at CCIA to assist with printing of licence summaries and to deal with any queries that may arise
Visitor will watch safety briefing video on site at Millbrook and receive ‘D’ stamp on their badge that proves they have been through the safety briefing process.
Summary and licence will be checked against each other to ensure that the driver holds a full licence and isn’t disqualified or holds a provisional licence – once this check has been done then from CCIA’s perspective these visitors are approved and free to carry out test drives
Each manufacturer has their own process for determining who can drive their vehicles, therefore each manufacturer can request to see the licence summary sheet which details the number of points a visitor has on their licence
